| Tobacco Exec Robert Harrison to Make $3.78M |

Citing the "intensively competitive" nature of the business it is in, a compensation committee of the board of Morrisville-based cigarette tobacco processor Alliance One has granted its top executives a bump in pay for 2010.
CEO Robert E. Harrison will take home $3.78 million in 2010, including a 5 percent bump in base pay, from $650,000 to $682,500, plus $910,262 in non-stock incentives, 2 percent higher than 2009.
CFO Robert A. Sheets recieves a 12.9 percent bump in base pay, to $350,000, plus 8.6 percent more in non-stock incentives to $402,000.
The figures were included in an Alliance One proxy statememnt filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company buys, processes, stores and sells leaf tobacco in the United States, Africa, Europe, South America and Asia. Enditem |
